A section of Riverside Street will be closed from April 20 to May 22

Published on 20 Apr 2026

Due to modernization work planned by the Longueuil agglomeration at the Le Royer plant, Riverside Street will be completely closed to traffic between Fort and Edison avenues from April 20 to May 22.

The work involves replacing the flow meter and valves. These upgrades are necessary to improve the plant’s reliability and ensure the security of the Longueuil agglomeration’s water supply. A first phase of work was completed in the fall of 2025.

No impact on water service is expected during the work.
We ask motorists and cyclists to follow the detour signs in place and to be careful when travelling.
