As part of its strategic planning process, which began last winter, the Ville de Saint-Lambert invites residents to participate in discussion workshops on key issues that affect the daily lives of Saint-Lambert residents: the environment, transportation, local businesses, recreation, culture, road maintenance, and more.

These workshops offer a unique opportunity for residents to identify their priorities for action in the coming years and to define what success would look like for their community. The discussions will directly inform the strategic directions that will guide Saint-Lambert’s development over the next few years.

After consulting with municipal staff, sports, cultural, and community organizations, as well as local businesses, the City now wishes to hear from the public to complete this inclusive and representative process.

Workshop Schedule

The workshops will take place on Thursday, May 7, at the Multi-purpose Centre. Four time slots are available:

  • 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Each workshop is limited to 30 participants. Interested individuals are invited to reserve their spot by registering via the following link:

Topics to be Discussed

Discussions will focus on the key factors shaping the quality of life and the future of Saint-Lambert. At the start of the workshop, participants will be invited to choose three of the following topics to be discussed:

  1. Infrastructure and Environment: The condition of infrastructure, streets, and municipal buildings. Protecting and enhancing our urban canopy and adapting to climate change. Parks, green spaces, and sustainable development. Spaces dedicated to different groups (youth, seniors, families).
  2. Mobility and accessibility: The various modes of transportation in Saint-Lambert: car, bicycle, walking, public transit. Parking, bike paths, and sidewalks. Universal accessibility. Travel safety.
  3. Businesses and local shopping: The vibrancy of downtown, Victoria Avenue, and commercial hubs. Local businesses and local shopping. Vacant storefronts. Outdoor patios and spaces. Saint-Lambert’s commercial appeal across all sectors.
  4. Culture, recreation, and community life: The cultural, sports, and recreational activities offered. The diversity and accessibility of activities for all ages. Events, entertainment, and programming. Social issues the City should address.
  5. Municipal services, communication, and citizen participation: The relationship between the City and its citizens. Municipal communication and information. Citizen participation and consultations. Transparency and accountability. The accessibility and simplicity of municipal services. Processes and regulations.

Your participation is essential to building a shared vision and a strategic plan that reflects the values and aspirations of the Saint-Lambert community!
