Climate change and weather events: Public consultation on simple and sustainable solutions for Saint-Lambert
Published on 28 Jan 2026
The public consultation took place on Thursday, February 5, 2026. A total of about 50 citizens came to learn more and share their ideas for strengthening our community's resilience to climate change. You can view the presentation given during the evening on the Adaptation to climate change page.
In a context where heat waves and intense rainfall events are becoming increasingly frequent, last fall the Ville Saint-Lambert undertook an initiative to strengthen its resilience to climate change through greening projects.
As part of this initiative, the City commissioned a specialized firm to develop a climate change adaptation plan. Following a risk analysis, priority areas for action were identified and simple, concrete, and sustainable solutions were proposed.
Now, your opinion matters!
Come learn about the proposed actions and contribute your thoughts during our public consultation on Thursday, February 5, at 7 p.m., at the Multi-purpose centre.
Consultation schedule:
- Introduction, presentation of stakeholders, and definition of the Oasis program
- Presentation of the risk study
- Presentation of targeted sites: Gordon Park, Village Park, and Notre Dame Avenue public parking lot (across from Mercille Park)
- Presentation of potential resilient developments
- Workshops to evaluate the targeted sites and possible developments
- Feedback on the workshops and question and answer period
- Presentation of the next steps
Together, let's prepare Saint-Lambert for the challenges of tomorrow!
