November 15 marked the end of the very first BIXI season in the Saint-Lambert area, and the results are promising for the next season, which will start on April 15, 2026.

Since the bike-sharing service was launched on July 23, 2025, 4,800 transactions have been recorded, corresponding to the number of bikes rented or returned to one of the three stations that opened this year. It should be noted that 30 bikes were made available to the public, half of which are electric.

Place de St-Lambert is a key location within the BIXI network due to its geographical location and the transportation hubs located there. The City therefore anticipates a gradual increase in the use of BIXI bikes over the next few years.

However, it is difficult to draw conclusions at this point regarding the number of transactions, particularly because the stations have only been operational since mid-season and we do not yet have comparative data. The City therefore intends to maintain the status quo for the 2026 season, giving citizens time to develop new active transportation habits.

The stations will remain at the following locations:

  • Gordon Park (Desaulniers/Victoria);
  • Simard/Riverside;
  • Champlain College (Riverside/Étienne-Truteau).

See you there on April 15, 2026!
