For more than three years, Denis Lecompte has been exploring portraiture, guided by his instinctive love of drawing. His works, often created in a single burst of inspiration, arise from a spontaneous dialogue between pencil, pastel, and himself. Attached to the power of line as much as to the encounter with color, he captures faces and emotions on the spot. Each drawing becomes a trace of presence, carried by intuition and the moment.
The artist invites you to his opening reception on Thursday, September 24, at 5 p.m.
