The Ville de Saint-Lambert does not support the new ecoLocal portal powered by bciti+ and warns its citizens not to use it.

The Ville de Saint-Lambert has learned that Solutions B-CITI Inc. which served the citizen portal until November 25, has decided to continue offering services to citizens through its new ecoLocal portal, without the involvement or consent of the municipal administration.
The Ville de Saint-Lambert officially severed its business ties with Solutions B-CITI Inc. in October 2024, announcing its intention not to renew its contract, which was due to expire on December 31, 2024, and asking them to close its portal on November 25, 2024. Faced with this refusal, the Ville de Saint-Lambert cut off all access to its services and asked Solutions B-CITI Inc. to delete all its citizens' personal data at the end of the contract.
The launch of ecoLocal, on the existing bciti+ portal, is confusing for citizens, as it provides municipal information without the Ville de Saint-Lambert approval or control over the information presented. As a result, the Ville de Saint-Lambert finds itself held hostage by the company with regard to the continuity of the portal following the end of its contract.
Thus, citizens may easily think they are consulting or receiving municipal information when this is not the case. The Ville de Saint-Lambert disassociates itself completely from all information published on this site, and cannot be held responsible for any errors or for the consequences this may have for users of the portal.
The Ville de Saint-Lambert will continue its efforts to ensure compliance with the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, since the company uses the personal data of citizens who initially registered for the citizen platform. The City also hopes that the company will no longer use municipal information for its own benefit, without the consent of the owner.
It's up to citizens to act!
In the meantime, the Ville de Saint-Lambert suggests that its citizens :
- delete their account on the ecoLocal portal powered by bciti+;
- ask Solutions B-CITI Inc. to delete their personal data by filling out the form at bciti.com/en/contact-us#ContactUsForm;
- remove the mobile application from their computers and delete the portal address from their bookmarks.
Reliable and official sources of information
