Guignolée: The Ville de Saint-Lambert is asking residents to give generously this holiday season

Published on 21 Nov 2023

The Ville de Saint-Lambert is inviting residents to help those less fortunate among us by contributing generously to the 21th edition of La grande guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud food drive that will be taking place on Thursday, December 7, throughout the Longueuil agglomeration.

This major operation seeks to raise money and collect food items that will be distributed to numerous organizations, including a few in Saint-Lambert. The donations will be used to provide food assistance to people in our community who are most in need during the holidays, and also to provide emergency food services throughout the year.

"As we approach this season of festivities and celebration, I invite the citizens of Saint-Lambert to take a moment and think about the members of our community who are going through difficult moments. A simple gesture of generosity can make all the difference for these people and for the organizations that come to their support. Mutual aid and sharing are strong values in Saint-Lambert, and I'm sure that our citizens will respond to the call of the guignolée," said Mayor Pascale Mongrain.

How to donate?

On Thursday, December 7, volunteers will be present between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. at various locations across the territory to collect donations. On the same day, donations in the form of cash or non-perishable foodstuffs will also be accepted in Saint-Lambert's IGA grocery stores or at the office located at 6, boulevard Desaulniers, suite 104, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Until December 24, cash donations will also be accepted at Jean Coutu Group pharmacies in Saint-Lambert.

Finally, citizens wishing to make a donation can do so online at guignoleerivesud.org.
