CLOSURE OF SERVICES: From November 10 to 12, the Ville de Saint-Lambert will be migrating its IT services

Published on 01 Nov 2023

From Friday, November 10 to Sunday, November 12, administrative services and the library will be closed for an IT migration.

This major operation will interrupt the network and the software hosted by the town. For example, the library catalog and the online registration module for recreational activities will not be functional over the weekend.

Therefore, the vast majority of activities will not be held, with the exception of :

  • Activities and courses offered at the recreation centre
  • Public skating at the arena
  • Public swim at the pool
  • Soirée néon (neon night) for teens

The City's website will always stay operational, as well as the Facebook page. If any additional information on the situation is required, they will become the privileged sources of information.

If all goes as planned, services will resume as usual on Monday, November 13. A certain period of instability is possible during the following two weeks. The City thanks citizens for their patience and understanding. This operation is necessary for the efficient functioning of services to citizens.

In the event of an emergency during this period, citizens are invited to call 911.

Context

Until recently, IT services in Saint-Lambert were provided under a tripartite agreement that included Boucherville and Brossard. At the end of 2022, the Ville de Brossard decided to end the agreement, which will expire on December 31, 2023.

As a result, for several months now, the Ville de Saint-Lambert has been forming its own IT team, which has been working hard to plan the migration of IT services.
