Let's celebrate local talent!

Are you a visual artist or photographer? We want to shine a spotlight on you! The Ville de Saint-Lambert is committed to stimulating cultural life and supporting local artistic creation. To this end, we are launching a call for applications for two exhibition projects.

1st exhibition: large-format photos

The first is an outdoor exhibition of seven large-format photographs at Coulée-Verte Park. This is a unique opportunity for a photographer to share their project with the public in a peaceful environment conducive to the appreciation of art.

Applications will be reviewed based on the following criteria:

• Aesthetic appeal and visual interest (content);
• Conceptual proposal and originality;
• Artistic approach;
• Technical qualities (lighting, exposure, and image composition);
• Quality of the project in an outdoor setting intended for the general public;
• The City will cover the costs of setting up the exhibition, printing the photos on coroplast signs, and promoting the exhibition.

Second exhibition: various visual arts

The second project aims to exhibit works by visual artists of all styles and disciplines in the lobby of the Hooper Street Multi-purpose centre. These eight-week exhibitions will allow the public to discover the richness and diversity of the local art scene, while offering artists an exceptional showcase.

Evaluation criteria:

• Quality of the application;

1st and 2nd exhibitions: what to include in your application file

Whether for the outdoor exhibition of seven photographs or the exhibition at the Multi-purpose centre, the application must include the following items:

• An up-to-date resume, including the artist's full contact information;
• A document presenting the artistic approach and project;
• For the outdoor exhibition, seven photos in png or jpg format of the proposed exhibition, including the title of the work, the technique used, and the year of creation. Photos must be
• high resolution (300 dpi) and suitable for large format printing (47.75 x 46 inches);
• For the exhibition at the Multifunctional Center, five images (jpg format only, 300 dpi) representative of the proposed exhibition with the title of the work, the medium, the year of creation, and the dimensions of the work.
