Clarification from the Ville de Saint-Lambert regarding an unauthorized letter
Published on 05 Jun 2025

The Ville de Saint-Lambert wishes to set the record straight following the recent circulation on social networks of a letter signed in June 2024 by our city's directors.
This letter had been signed by the directors at the request of the former general manager. It was an internal document, whose current unauthorized distribution raises issues of confidentiality and may mislead the public as to the administrative reality of the City.
An independent investigation by the Commission municipale du Québec was conducted into the allegations made at the time by the former General Manager. This investigation concluded that these allegations were unfounded. The City wishes to reaffirm that no act of undue interference or disrespectful behaviour has been found against Mayor Pascale Mongrain or members of the municipal council.
The municipal administration remains resolutely committed to serving the population in a rigorous, ethical and transparent manner. The City's elected officials and teams continue to work professionally in the public interest.
The City will make no further comment in order to respect all those concerned and to continue to devote itself fully to its mission of serving the population.
