Launch of Saint-Lambert’s Citizen Portal: Access all your online services in one place!

Published on 02 Jul 2025

The Ville Saint-Lambert is proud to launch the Citizen Space, an online platform that brings together many services offered to the population in one place to improve the citizen experience.

Designed to facilitate interactions with the City, this new digital platform will be used to:

  • Subscribe to emergency alerts and municipal notices;
  • Access your digital citizen card;
  • Receive personalized collection reminders;
  • Find out the real-time opening hours of services;
  • Report non-urgent issues.

Accessible at all times and personalized, this new portal will undoubtedly become a preferred point of entry to municipal services. It has been designed to offer a user-friendly and practical experience in an integrated technological environment.

The portal is accessible online at citoyen.saint-lambert.ca. The Espace citoyen Saint-Lambert mobile app can also be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play.

Main features

1. Emergency alerts

The Citizen Space will replace the current emergency alert system. It will only be used in exceptional situations, such as to issue evacuation notices, boil water advisories, etc. In the event of an incident affecting a specific area, it will only contact citizens who are directly affected

Citizens who wish to continue receiving emergency alerts must register with the Citizen Space before December 31, 2025, when the current system will cease to function. No file transfers will be made.

2. Municipal notices

To stay up to date on municipal news, residents can also subscribe to notices in the following categories:

  • Collection reminders
  • Culture and leisure
  • Environment
  • Minors incidents and works
  • Info-snow removal
  • Community life

Notices will be sent by email or text message, depending on each person's preference. By downloading the mobile app, it will also be possible to receive these notices via notifications.

3. Citizen card

The portal will allow people who already have a citizen card to link it to their account and obtain a digital version. They can then download it to the digital wallet on their mobile device (Google Wallet or Apple Pay) for access at any time. The portal will allow them to manage their card and those of their children and renew them online.

Citizens who do not have a card will be able to apply for one for themselves or their children directly through the Citizen Space and thus enjoy all the benefits of the digital card.

5. Schedules and geolocation information

The new Citizen Space will offer personalized information based on place of residence. For example, it will be possible to view garbage collection schedules and receive reminders the day before. The portal will also allow users to check in real time whether a facility or service is open before going there.

6. Online services at your fingertips

Residents will also find direct links to online services offered by the City, such as tax accounts, the recreational activities registration module, and more.

Another improvement to watch for...

Over the coming months, a chatbot named Lambertine will be added to the features available in the Citizen Space. Powered by artificial intelligence, it will answer the most frequently asked questions at any time of the day or night.

Citizens are invited to register now for this new portal to take advantage of its many benefits!
