Here are the measures that have been implemented to provide animal control in the municipality.
To report a stray, injured or dead domestic animal, citizens should contact the Department of Public Works at 450 466-3690 or email@example.com.
Boarding and veterinary services for domestic animals picked up on our territory will now be offered by the Hôpital vétérinaire St‐Lambert. Citizens who have lost a pet should get in touch with this downtown clinic at 450 671‐7264. Located at 200 Victoria Avenue (between Riverside and Logan streets), the clinic is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to the by-law in force, boarding fees are $100 for the first day (including the pick-up) plus $25 per day starting on the second day. If the cat or dog is wearing a licence, a notice will be sent to the owner by registered or certified mail. Any animal that has not been claimed by its owner after seven days could be put up for adoption or euthanized.
Wild animals capture
To have wild animals captured and removed (skunks, groundhogs, etc.), the City of Saint-Lambert suggests that citizens contact L’Arche de Noé at 450 633-0930 or Luc Daigneault at 514 299-7439. There is a fee for this service.
There are other simple measures you can take to control wild animals. Because these pests depend on resources found around our homes, sealing off access to these resources often solves the problem. To know more, consult the website of the ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs.
