The request is to obtain a minor exemption to build an extension above the existing garage located at 2.93 metres from the front lot line, whereas the table of specific provisions in Zoning by-law 2008-43 stipulates that in zone RA-5, the front setback must be a minimum of 4.5 metres.

  • 400 Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard

The project to replace existing wall signs requires a minor exemption from Zoning by-law 2008-43 to allow:

  • That a wall sign displaying the logo “M” of the commercial establishment on Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard be 2.86 metres high, whereas article 8.3.1 a) provides that the sign must not exceed a maximum height of 80 centimetres;
  • That a wall sign displaying the logo “M” of the commercial establishment on Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier Boulevard be 7.21 square metres in area, whereas section 8.4.2 a) provides that the area, per facade adjacent to a public street, of commercial signs authorized for a commercial establishment must not exceed a maximum of 3.5 square metres or 0.3 square metres per linear metre of the main facade on the ground floor;

The Ville de Saint-Lambert Municipal Council will rule on these requests for minor exemptions at its regular sitting to be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 13, 2019 at 55 Argyle Avenue, Saint-Lambert. All interested parties could make their views known to the Council at this meeting.
