By-law to modify the Code of ethics and conduct of elected municipal officers (2018-161)

- A draft by-law to modify the Code of ethics and conduct of elected municipal officers was presented at the regular sitting of Council held on April 19, 2021.
- This draft by-law was prepared to add precise ethical standards relating to respect for others, the obligation to respect the policy concerning psychological or sexual harassment and violence in the workplace of the municipality, as well as respect for confidentiality of information that is not public. This project also provides that a Council member cannot place himself in a situation of conflict between, on one hand, his or her interest or that of those close to him and, on the other hand, the duties of his office.
- Said by-law is planned to be adopted by Council at its next sitting to be held on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 7:30 p.m. in videoconference.
