The second evening for new residents a resounding success
Close to 100 new residents responded to the invitation by Mayor Pierre Brodeur to come and learn more about their city during this second evening for new residents.
“I’m delighted to see residents interested in their city. This turnout merely confirms the vitality of our community and the desire of citizens to enjoy their living environment to the fullest. This friendly evening provided a wonderful opportunity to meet people, and it will be a great pleasure to repeat the experience each year,” said Mayor Brodeur.
The evening allowed participants to discover the activities and services offered by the city. About 30 or so organizations within the municipality also took advantage of the event to promote their service offering and to and to highlight the importance of volunteering in the community.
In addition, the new residents had the chance to meet the members of City Council and the municipal managers to chat about their new community.
