Saint-Lambert flags at half-mast in memory of the Kamloops residential school victims
The Ville de Saint-Lambert has lowered its flags to half-mast in memory of the 215 First Nations children found buried on the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia.
This symbolic gesture is intended to pay tribute to the child victims of this tragedy and to express our solidarity and support for the First Nations people affected by this loss.
“I invite our community to remember these young victims. Let us also send our thoughts out to the First Nations communities, who are undoubtedly deeply pained by this sad discovery,” said Mayor Pierre Brodeur.
