The mayor of Saint-Lambert is thrilled that the cycling link to Parc Jean-Drapeau has been reopened
The City of Saint-Lambert has been informed that a detour route will be put in place as of Saturday, July 18, which means that the cycling link between Saint-Lambert and Parc Jean-Drapeau will be accessible once again.
Mayor Pierre Brodeur is thrilled about this announcement, as this link is very much appreciated by Saint-Lambert residents, like all South Shore residents. Its closure has been a real headache for all those who use it daily to get to work, but has also been a major inconvenience for the general public, whose recreational options are greatly reduced these days due to the pandemic.
“This is very good news that addresses our repeated requests for an acceptable alternative solution for users. We applaud the efforts that have been made to minimize the inconveniences, and wish to thank the stakeholders in this matter, particularly the Société du parc Jean-Drapeau, Alexandra Mendès, Member of Parliament for Brossard—Saint-Lambert, and the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation,” stated the mayor.
With the construction holidays upon us, the City of Saint-Lambert hopes that all vacationers can take advantage of this cycling network and urges them to exercise caution on their bikes.
