The City of Saint-Lambert appeals to residents to give generously this holiday season
The City of Saint-Lambert is inviting its residents to give generously to help those less fortunate among us by contributing to the 19th edition of La grande guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud, which, due to the current pandemic, this year will take place mainly online since there will be no street corner collection points.
This massive operation seeks to raise money collect food items that will be distributed to some 20 or so organizations, including a few in Saint-Lambert. The donations will be used to provide food assistance to people in our community who are most in need during the holidays, and also to provide emergency food services throughout the year.
“As the holidays approach, La grande guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud reminds us that some members of our community are going through hard times, especially this year, when the pandemic has created major upheavals in the job market. I invite all the residents of Saint-Lambert to be generous during this campaign, and also throughout the year by regularly offering their support to those in need. I hope that through our collective effort, we will be able to bring a touch of joy and hope into their homes,” said Mayor Pierre Brodeur.

Cash or non-perishable food donations will also be accepted at the Jean Coutu Group pharmacies, IGA Louise Ménard grocery stores, IGA Extra Marché du Faubourg Greenfield Park, Métro Drouin, Maxi and Provigo. On December 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saint-Lambert residents can also drop off their food donations at 45 Green Street.
