Culture and Recreation Office


The Culture and Recreation Office is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling the Office’s resources and activities, and for orienting City Council in decisions regardingcultural and recreational issues. The director assists and advises the city management team with regard to any questions concerning cultural and arts activities, recreational activities (including physical activity and sports), outdoor activities, and community activities involving social and neighbourhood life. 

He proposes orientations, develops policies and master plans, negotiates agreements with partners and carries out oversight functions regarding practices and needs. He also makes recommendations, files reports and analyses, and supervises numerous projects. 

The Culture and Recreation Office oversees:
