In 2019, the Journées de la culture will be held under the theme of encounters. A Saint-Lambert art circuit is offered to citizens to promote greater access to culture and give them an opportunity to discover the creative environment of professional artists.

Description of this stop of the circuit

Both a multidisciplinary artist and sculptor, Diane Cardill is passionate about the impact that public art can have on our communities. She draws inspiration from the simple beauty around her, capturing it in moments of reflection in her daily life. Her artworks are often concocted from alternative materials that she deftly shapes into sleek lines and shapes essential to the object she is creating. One good example is her chicken-wire animals.

Her artistic philosophy can be neatly described as finding the extraordinary in the ordinary.

This activity is made possible thanks to financial support from the Québec government, under the cultural development agreement.

Contest | By discovering the creative environments of Saint-Lambert artists, participants stand to take home a piece of art created by Carole Simard-Laflamme. All they have to do is fill out an entry form on site. They can increase their chances of winning by visiting each of the destinations on the circuit. The draw will take place on September 30, 2019.
