We will be taking advantage of Public Library Week to launch a new program serving the families and toddlers in our municipality: Biblio-Jeux. To mark the occasion, a speech therapist will be on-site to answer your questions about language and communication and to point you to games that are appropriate for your child’s age and level.
A speech therapist will also be at the library on Saturday, November 20, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Biblio-Jeux is a program aimed at language stimulation and at introducing children to the written word through play. It is designed from children from six months to six years old and their parents. Families will be able to borrow, for free, games specially selected to help them stimulate their child’s language development, regardless of his or her level. Each game comes with an activity sheet that suggests possible activities for the parent, depending on the goal. The games are divided into seven “planets” based on the language aspects to be stimulated and the child’s age.
Please comply with the health measures in force. Venue accessible for people with reduced mobility.
Public Library Week
Québec’s Public Library Week will be back for its 23rd edition from October 16 to 23, 2021, under the banner Ma biblio : une histoire de famille! This year, the Week will highlight the essential role that public libraries play for Québec families, notably by promoting family literacy.
