Festival Classica and L’Harmonie des saisons present Handel’s Messiah played on period instruments. Renowned for its beloved “Hallelujah” chorus, the Messiah is George Frideric Handel’s (1685-1759) most famous work.
This magnificent performance will transport you back to the 18th century, with conductor Eric Milnes leading the musicians and singers from the harpsichord, as did Handel in his day! More than 40 artists on stage! Soloists: Magali Simard-Galdès, soprano; Florence Bourget, mezzo-soprano; Emmanuel Hasler, tenor; and Marc Boucher, baritone. Artistic director: Mélisande Corriveau.
