The City of Saint-Lambert appeals to citizens to give generously this holiday season

Tuesday 21 November 2017

The City of Saint-Lambert is inviting residents to give generously to help those less fortunate among us by contributing to the 16th edition of La grande guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud food drive campaign that will be taking place on Thursday, December 7 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. across the Longueuil agglomeration.

This massive operation seeks to raise money and collect food items that will be distributed to some twenty or so organizations, including a few in Saint-Lambert. The donations will be used to prepare Christmas baskets that will be distributed to people in our community who are most in need during the holidays, and also to provide food assistance services throughout the year.

“During this time of celebration and abundance for many, I invite all of Saint-Lambert’s citizens to spare a thought for people in need who are going through hard times. I encourage them to contribute generously to La grande guignolée des médias de la Rive-Sud, to bring a little joy and hope to the holidays for these people, who are part of our community. I would also like to invite them to extend these positive values of sharing and caring into the year by regularly offering their support to people in need,” said Mayor Pierre Brodeur.
