Council meetings

The Saint-Lambert municipal council makes it a priority to answer your questions and address your comments.

To this end, your elected representatives hold public meetings once a month. These meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 55 Argyle Avenue.

Doors open
On the evening of a meeting, the doors to City Hall open at 7 p.m.

Question periods

Two question periods are reserved for citizens at every City Council meeting. The first takes place at the beginning of the meeting and a second follows a discussion of all the agenda items.

First question period
A maximum of one hour is allotted for the first question period. Individuals may ask a maximum of two questions. Anyone wishing to ask a question must write down their first and last name, along with the topic of their question or questions, in the register provided for this purpose, which will be available 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

During the question period, the person will be called to the microphone and will have three minutes to ask his or her question or questions. The questions must be limited to the topics noted in the register.

Second question period
A maximum of 30 minutes is allotted for the second question period. Registration is not required for this period. Individuals wishing to ask a question are invited to line up behind the microphone. Each person may ask one question at a time and has two minutes to do so. Anyone wishing to ask another question must return to the back of the line. A total of two questions per person are permitted during this period.

Respect and decorum are essential to the successful conduct of a Council meeting.
